Pastor David E. Allen

David Allen was born into a very godly home. His father was a
hard-working boss of cotton gins throughout the south central states.
David was raised in church were he was taught to love the Lord and to respect
the leadership of the local church. His dad attended church come rain or shine,
and never allowed the leadership in the church to be criticized in the home.
As a result, David grew up with a tremendous respect for authority
and with a genuine servant's spirit.
  • After graduating from high school in Shreveport, LA, he joined the
    United States Air Force. He served in South Carolina and a term in Thailand
    during the Vietnam war. He achieved Staff Sergeant before the end of his
    4 years of service. During his stay in Thailand, David came to know the Lord
    in a much more personal way. He diligently studied the Word, In 1975 he and his family;
  • Frances and daughters, Jeri and Kathy,
    settled in to pastor in Natchitoches, LA.
    The church had existed since 1965 and had a membership of about 20.
    God gave great growth and developed a stable church in the small city.
    God has helped him see people grow and be established with the same
    dedication that was placed in David's heart as a young boy.
  • David encouraged his wife to launch out into ministry, as well as his daughters.
    Jeri is now the Christian Education Pastor on staff at Oasis of Love,
    where she and her husband, Young Kilpatrick attend. She has two children,
    daughter Tarah and son, Ethan. Jeri is praise and worship leader also,
    and has produced one CD. Kathy and her husband, Dave Wampler are
    on the staff at Dave Roever Evangelistic Association in Fort Worth, TX.
    Kathy is a credentialed minister with the North Texas District of the
    Assemblies of God. She sings in Bro. Roever's crusades and has produced
    2 music CD's. Her husband is her producer.

Our pastor, is a powerful, down -to-earth preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
